Hi! I'm Kristy - your new bestie!
Meet Kristy:
Kristy MacKenzie is the owner and main photographer of Wild Love Photos, which has been in business since 2013. With hundreds of weddings under her belt, she truly loves what she does and believes that it’s the most fun and rewarding job in the world. Outside of weddings, Kristy finds herself shooting family sessions at her clients homes, in studio or outdoors! From 2018 – 2022, Kristy co-run workshops teaching other photographers. Just recently, she has taken on two associate photographers (who shoot weddings on her behalf on dates already booked), and also opened up her own photography studio on the main street of Leduc called The Loft on Main.
She’s married to her hubby Chris, an Edmonton Firefighter and they have two little girls to call their own, as well as their fur baby lab Sasha. She has a mean cackle, and loves nothing more than truly getting to know her clients and becoming a friend for life! With a zest for life and sense of humour, she’s a blast to be around. If you’re looking for a photographer who can capture the in between moments, the money shots AND allow you to feel comfortable while doing it – she just may be your gal!
Kristy's Achievements
Kristy’s work has been be featured in publications such as Blush Magazine, Bridal Fantasy, Confetti Wedding Magazine, Hitched, Rock and Roll Bride, Calgary Bride, Hey Bride, The Edmonton Sun and so on.
In early 2016 Kristy was named one of Canada’s Top 30 Photographers Under 30 by the Canada Photo Convention. Most recently in 2024, Kristy was named one of Edmonton’s Top Wedding Photographers by Clever Canadian: https://www.clevercanadian.ca/best-wedding-photographers-edmonton/
Starting in 2018, Kristy co-hosted the first ever Real Adventure Photography Workshop (RAW) in Drumheller, and in Spring of 2019 they put on another workshop at the Lodge At Panther River! From there, Kristy co-hosted 3 more photography retreats all over the province called Heart and Dime! Mentorship Retreat.
