Thanks for dropping by to learn a little bit about me!
Anyone that knows me will tell you that I never go anywhere without my camera. My photography obsession began at a very young age. I was easily influenced by my grandmother who was an avid photographer. Since the moment when I got my hands on a polaroid camera, I was completely and utterly captivated. At an early age of 10, I was doing photo shoots with my friends and I remember the anticipation of getting to see the photos once they were developed – it was so exciting! Little did I know back then that I was a photographer in the making.
In 2013, I took the plunge and started my photography business. Things quickly took off for me, and I was able to quit my public service job within just over a year! On average, I usually shoot 30-40 weddings per year! Yes, so that means that over the last 7 years I’ve shot hundreds of weddings. I love the adrenaline and excitement wedding days bring, and I can’t imagine myself doing anything else. I also am very passionate about family photography, as in having a family myself now I understand the immense value of those photos.
Photography has taught me a lot about myself and about life in general. It has allowed me to see beauty in every day life, and it allows me to meet so many incredible people and watch them go through all of life’s amazing milestones. I’ve been lucky enough to photograph weddings in Jamaica, Mexico, Dominican Republic and New Zealand, and also was fortunate enough to shoot a proposal in New York City!
I am proud to say I am married to an Edmonton Firefighter, and we’ve been going strong since 2010. We were friends in high school, but didn’t start dating until 5 years after! We got a dog in 2012, bought our forever home in 2015, got engaged in 2016, got married in 2017, honeymooned in New Zealand and renovated our house in 2018, and we had our first baby girl Halle in February 2019, and had our second daughter Silvia in October of 2020. I feel like going through these milestones myself has better equipped me to share yours with you and helps me to know exactly what you’re looking for. If you’ve made it this far, THANK YOU for taking the time to read a little about me, and I’m really looking forward to getting to know more about you!
